It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ken Gestel of Unionville, Missouri, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Gestel and Mildred Gestel (Hoffman); his sister Dee Schaubel; and his brother-in-law Ken Schaubel. He is survived by: his wife Renee; his brother Mel Sayre (Rita) of Sarasota, FL.; and his brothers-in-law, Rick Hanson (Gail) of Iowa City, IA, Roger Hanson of Richmond, VA and Ron Hanson of Sergeant Bluff, IA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Renee, which will be determined at a later date.
