He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Joyner and Patty Joyner; and his husband Bill Lawton. He is survived by: his brother Paul Joyner of Indiana; his sister-in-law Madonna Lawton (Frank); and his sibling's children, Ellen (Brian), Vanessa (Brad), David (Shannon), Ian and Wray. He is also survived by seven great-nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family request with gratitude that memorial contributions in his honor be directed to the Carmelite Monastery.
