She was predeceased by: her father Johnnie Whiting; and her siblings, Ida Ford, Bradford Whiting and Johnny Lee Brown. She is survived by: her mother Dorothy Willis (Whiting); her former husband Otis Ward; her children, Tanisha Ward and Richardo Jefferson; her granddaughter Caira Butler; and her siblings, Thelma Steward (David), George Whiting (Danella) and Vasheel Nancy Lillard (John). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
