She was predeceased by: her parents, James Douglas and Mary Elizabeth Mitchell. She is survived by: her husband John Sweeney; her children, Annie Adler (Nick), Patrick (Lisa) and Kevin (Kathy); her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mary Kate, Brendan, Molly, Jack, Colleen, Jimmy and Betsy; her siblings, Doug Mitchell (Mary Kay), Dan Mitchell, Bonnie Fulnecky (Mark) and Tom Mitchell (Sorraya); her close friend Nancy Rayhawk of St. Louis, Missouri.; and her caregiver Betsy of University's Student Health Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Class of 2002 Scholarship in Honor of Clayton S. Rice at Chaminade College Preparatory School.
