He was predeceased by : his parents, Jackson Ray Sr. and Lura Mae Ray (Willis). He is survived by : his sons, Aaron Harris and Johnny Birton; his grandchildren, Eryn E. Harris, Harmonie Birton, Lyric Birton, Amiri Birton and Amir Birton; his fiancée Mary Jo Mickes; and his sisters, Ruth Edmonds, Margaret Whitfield, Annette Goldsby Smith, Kimmy Ray and Pamala Davenport. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
