With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James A. Schmalz (University City, Missouri), who passed away on August 27, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his son Steven Jacob Schmalz. He is survived by : his children, Naomi Schmalz (Jesse Davis) and Tim Schmalz (Emily Anstoetter). He is also survived by his father, "Big Jim", step-mother, and half-brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Green Center in University City (thegreencenter.org), where Jim loved to volunteer as an educator and beekeeper.
