With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vaughn Eldon Nelson (Urich, Missouri), who passed away on February 23, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Nelson and Wilma Peters; and his wife Sylvia Hess. He is survived by: his daughters, Jeannie Erwin (Steve) of Urich, MO and Jeanette Cloyd (Brent) of Fairfield, IL.; his grandchildren, Darrel Erwin, Kristi Kay, Jeremy Cloyd, Brock Cloyd and Brittney Cloyd; and his great grandchild Ali Kay.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, a charity that was near and dear to Eldon's heart.
