He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Cumins and Amalene Cumins (Gardner); his brother Joe Cumins; his niece Paula Umfress; and his aunt Ivalene Gardner Rackley.

He is survived by: his wife Wanda Cumins; his children, Jeffery Cumins of Rolla, MO, Michael Cumins (Heather) of Leavenworth, Kansas, Trina King (Joshua) of Grants Pass, Stacie Moss (Clint) of Ellington and Tamara Mell (Joe) of Holts Summit, Missouri; his niece Kristi Winn (Jimmy); his nephew Matt Cumins (Morgan) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; his sisters, Alyce Raley of Alabama and Julie Batchelder of Florida; and his close friends, Johnny and Joy Gipson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
