With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca Maxine Gibbs (Van Buren, Missouri), born in Alton, Missouri, who passed away on April 2, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Daniel M. Simpson (Max) and Ruth Dolores Simpson (Click); and her husband Wayne Gibbs. She is survived by : her children, Paula Clark (Jeff) of Van Buren, MO, Wesley Simpson of Van Buren, MO, Allen Gibbs (Debbie) of Van Buren, MO and Cindy Blasa (Mark) of Bethalto, IL.; her siblings, Barbara A. Simpson of Alton, MO., Betty Blankenship (Bill) of Alton, MO. and Danny Simpson (Fay) of Alton, MO.; and her grandchildren, Jessica Sorg, Shanna McCune, Sara Rector, Dustin Rector, Morgan Chilton, Derek Clark, Josh Gibbs, Justin Gibbs, Nate Blasa and Lauren Claytor. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Life Church (201 Sycamore St, Van Buren, MO 63965). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
