She was predeceased by: her parents, Moss Redd and Mary Alice Redd (Bolden); her husband Dempsey Dixon, Sr.; her siblings, Dwitt Redd, Ted Redd, Harold Wheeler, Annett Fields and Jenny Davis; and her granddaughter Menisha Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Dempsey Dixon, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Richard Redd of Vandalia, MO, Melissa Redd of Vandalia, MO and Jolene Dixon of Vandalia, MO; her siblings, James Wheeler of Hannibal, MO, Chris Redd (Cheri) of Chatham, IL, Fannie Carter (William) of Davenport, IA and Daisy Warren (Frank) of Clarksville, MO; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Miles of Columbia, MO and Aisha Abdinasir of Kansas City, MO.; her grandchildren, Ciarria Underwood (Jeff) and Jaselle Brooking; her great grandchildren, Makenzi, Mercedes, Peyton, Willow, Langston, Wyatt and Westyn; and her great great grandchild Khairo. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
