He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Gish and Leva Mae Colvin Gish; his wife Carolyn Sue Gish (Dowell); and his siblings, Bill Gish, Clarence Gish, James Gish, Virginia Folta, Dorothy Henderson and Mary Ann Seymour.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Smith (Dennis) and Renee James (Merle); his granddaughters, Jolene Chartkov (Konstantin) and Brooke James (Hunter Cussigh); and his great grandchildren, Katie Chartkov, Maggie Chartkov and Lizzie Chartkov.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (500 S Main St, Vandalia, MO 63382). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice, in care of Waters Funeral Home.
