He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harter and Louise Harter (Schatz); his wife Frankie Harter; his son Mark Harter; and his siblings, Anna Markus, Marie Eldridge, Irene Pachlhofer, Andrew, Wilfred, Edward, Benedict and Francis Harter.
He is survived by: his children, David Harter (Connie) of Pierce City, Missouri, Lisa Kerns (Rick) of Monett and Maria Harter of Verona, Missouri; and his siblings, Rose Reynolds of San Diego, California and Tony Harter (Isy) of Republic, Missouri. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Pregnancy Resource Center or the Right to Life, in care of the funeral home.
