He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter McKnight and Elsie McKnight (Daugherty); his siblings, Junior McKnight, Nancy Blair and Mary Moore; and his son-in-law Darin Stone.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth McKnight (Stockton); his children, Donna Stone of Aurora, Missouri and Robert McKnight (Debbie) of Aurora, Missouri; his grandchildren, Derica, Dayla, Dustin, Zach and Shannon; and his great grandchildren, Cohen, Cael, Kenlee, Karver, Lane, Olivia, Meredith and Clara.
