He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Reed and Laura Wools Reed; his brother Roy Reed; and his siblings-in-law, Gene Hart and Jackie Glenn.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra; his sons, John Reed of Rolla, Ronnie Reed of Springfield and Scott Reed (Karen) of Muncy, Pennsylvania.; his sisters, Shirley Hart of Vichy and Cheri Reasoner of St Charles, Missouri.; his brother-in-law Bill Glenn of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Colby Reed, Ashley Reed Thomason (Joe), Katelynn (Shelbie) and Carly Reed; and his great grandchildren, River Thomason and Parker Bartz.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (200 N Meramec St, St James, MO 65559). A burial was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at the Skaggs Chapel Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
