He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Anthony "Fritz" and Coletta Christine Brunnert (Werdenhause); his stepfather Vic Wulff; his sister Norma Brunnert-Hughes; his half-brother Ken Wulff; and his stepsiblings, Joan Buschmann, Verna Oliaschlaeger and Bob Wulff.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Don Brunnert Jr. (Misti) of Lake Ozarks, Mark Brunnert (Susan) of Vienna, Jim Brunnert of Jefferson City, John Brunnert (Carol) of Jefferson City and Kelly Backues (Shane) of Vienna; his grandchildren, Zach Brunnert, Blair Schlueter (Sam), Kelcie Brunnert, Cole Brunnert, Carly Wilson (Forrest) and Sarah McEnnis (Luke); and his great grandchild Margot Schlueter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family of Don suggest memorials be made to Visitation Inter-Parish School with envelopes available at the church the day of his service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.
