He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Hurt and Marie; his wife Virginia Hurt; his sister Helen Eckelkamp (Woody); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Thornhill (John) and John Fennessey.
He is survived by: his children, Carl D. Hurt (Marnette) of Pacific, Christine Hogan of Washington and Glenn Hurt of Villa Ridge. He is also survived by six grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
