He is survived by: his wife Ruth Dowil of Villa Ridge; his children, Mark (Lori Dowil) of Palmyra, Matthew (Sara) of Washington and Michelle (Patrick Hoeft) of Union; his grandchildren, Alex Dowil, Jackie (Blake Totten), Christa (Zeke Broughton), Maddie Dowil, Lauren Dowil, Kate Dowil, Raymond Hoeft and Hannah Hoeft; his great grandchild Brody Totten; and his siblings, Georgiann Pharis, Mary (Keith Trentmann), Debra Albright, Dena (Robert Fuhr), Glenn (Barb Dowil), Gene (Agnes Dowil) and John (Cheryl Dowil). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members.
