It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Pope Sr. of Wappapello, Missouri, born in Durant, Mississippi, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Allen Pope and Katherleen Pope (Smith). He is survived by : his children, Eddie Pope (Tracey) of Dexter, Bill Pope (Stephanie) of Dudley, Kenny Pope (Angela) of Dexter and Desiree Edwards (Kent) of Dexter; his sister Kathy Evans of Kansas; his grandchildren, Dede Whitaker, Keith, Amanda, Andrew Edwards, Zach, Kenton and Drexler Pope; and his great grandchildren, Chelsea Bennett, Abby, Gunner, Wyatt Powell, Laney, Ryder, Kensley Edwards, Trisha, Lexi Griffin, Anastasia, Charlie Pope and MaryLynn Boyles. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God (911 Brown Pilot Ln, Dexter, MO 63841). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Dexter Cemetery.
