It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Corene (Brown) Stevens of Warrensburg, Missouri, who passed away on March 2, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Brown and Bertha Emeline Brown (Crider); her husband Alvin Otis Stevens; and her siblings, Hazel Brown, Virgil Brown, Roger Brown, Adron Brown and Dennis Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Co Akala and David Stevens (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Cherry Kuykendall, Karissa Borders (Chris), Amanda Warner (Kyle), Rachel Martin, Courtney Garcia (Phil), Chad Martin (Sarah), Chelsea Martin, Ben Stevens, Quint Bayne, Sam Stevens, Abby Stevens, Esther Stevens, Peter Stevens, Mikhail Ake, Mary Joy Stevens, Anna Stevens and K. C. Wade; her great grandchildren, Zandra Borders, Megan Borders, Connor Garcia, Brooke Garcia, Laurel Garcia, Christian Garcia, Lucy Martin, Hannah Martin, Oliver Martin, Jude Martin, Winnie Martin and Videl Stevens; and her sister Margaret Good of Kyle, Texas. She is also survived by several sisters-in-law; and many generations of nieces and nephews.
