She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Beryel Lee and Florence Lee (Lunsford); her husband Robert Dale Hix; and her siblings, Lowell Lee, Mike Lee, Gregg Lee, Beverly Lee and Donna Haller.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Espen (Randy), Joyce Hix, Darrell Hix (Tammy) and Darrin Hix (Regina); her grandchildren, Jacob Hix, Jarrod Hix (Makenna), Brian Espen, Tim Espen (Jaylene), Kristin Espen, Chris Wilson and Andrea Keary; her siblings, Jerry Lee, Lloyd Lee, Tom Lee (Sharon), Beryel Lee, Linda Mitchell, Judy Cline, Joy Benson, Carol Myers (Dave) and Jackie Casey; and her brothers-in-law, Hoyt Hix Independence (Sammie), Ronnie Hix and Claire Reed. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
The family suggests contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House in care of the funeral home.
