We announce the death of Richard Mehas in Warrensburg, Missouri, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 96. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mehas and Claudia Mehas; his brother John Mehas; and his son Gregory Mehas. He is survived by: his wife Janet Louise Mehas; his daughters, Kathryn Jenkins (Dale), Kristine Smith and Kimberly Steele (Chris); and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Celeste, Alisha, Rachelle, George, Andrea, Caleb, Benjamin and Elizabeth. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grandview Community of Christ (12600 Byars Rd, Grandview, MO 64030). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
