He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Schildknecht and Mary Schildknecht; his wife Geraldine Saunders; and his sisters, Edith Burgess and Elizabeth Burger.
He is survived by: his children, Doug Schildknecht (Rita) of Warrensburg, MO and Shelly Wickham (Glen) of Sun City, AZ; his grandchildren, Aaron Schildknecht (Stephanie), Ryan Schildknecht, Christopher Johnson, Patrick Johnson and Ashlynn Johnson; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Schildknecht, Addyson Schildknecht and Alex Warlen; and his siblings, Ellis Schildknecht (Carter) and Lois Littleton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Warrensburg Missouri Veterans Home with checks made payable to the Missouri Veterans Home Assistance League.
