It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Richard Sommerkamp (Warrensburg, Missouri), who passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adele Vessels (Shores) and Harry Vessels; his brother Charles Wayne; his son Thomas Buckley; and his grandson Nathaniel Scott Haycraft.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Kathy); his children, Margaret Anne "Meg" Brigman (Daniel), Benjamin Adam Cook (Christine), Rebecca Anne Jones (Steve), Matthew Thomas Cook (Jessica), Sarah Elizabeth Molina (Trinidad Raj), Jessica Lynne Sommerkamp and Kimberly Elaine Sommerkamp; his son-in-law John Yuelkenbeck; and his brothers, Robert Michael Sommerkamp (Joyce) and John Rudolph Sommerkamp (Sherry). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
