He was predeceased by: his wife Noma Shivers; his sons, Terry and Dennis Shivers; and his grandchildren, Shana Shivers and Dennis "Chip" Shivers.
He is survived by: his son Roger Shivers; and his grandchildren, Rick Shivers, Nonnie Shivers, Brett Shivers, Eric Shivers and Jaynee Shivers. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
