William Montgomery Cozad Obituary

We announce the death of William Montgomery Cozad of Warrensburg, Missouri, who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 82. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Harold Cozad and Burma Cozad (Hawks); and his former wife Jackie Cozad (Colster). He is survived by: his wife Jane Ellen Cozad (Jones); his children, Cindy Cozad, Andrea Leland (Matt) and Stephen Cozad (Amanda); his stepchildren, Jesse Jones, Daniel Jones (Marilyn) and Hilary Kesinger; and his grandchildren, Ida, Heidi Leland, Karli Cope (Adam), Kole Conard, Keara Blum, Spencer, Milo Jones, Savannah Kline, Addy and Aiden Black. He is also survived by family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's memory to the Missouri Veterans Assistance League in Warrensburg.
