He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald DeLaney and Alice DeLaney; and his brother Timothy DeLaney. He is survived by: his wife Kim DeLaney; his children, Michael DeLaney, Dawn Porter (Brian), Eric Ehmke (Diana), Sarah Vogelsang (Matt), David Palmer (Katie) and William Palmer (Allie); his parents-in-law, Mike and Sharon Lanius; his grandchildren, Cale, Shane, Nathan, Tristan, Dylan, Lilly, Kayden, Olivia, Jerry and Leo; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon, Dawn, Michelle and Nicole. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, niece, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Kim DeLaney to assist with funeral expenses.
