He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel "Roscoe" Johnson and Mary Ann Johnson (Tatum); his brother William; and his stepsons, Dennis and Michael.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie "Jo" Johnson; his daughters, Judie Johnson of Gueydan, LA and Ashlie Judd (Jason) of Warsaw, MO; his sister Annette Croswell of Bastrop, LA; his grandchildren, Mara, Perrie, Marshall Judd, Ty Pecoraro of Kansas City, MO, Jacqueline Pecoraro-Biggs (Daniel) of St. Charles, MO, Klarissa and Karina Honea of Warsaw, MO.; Jessica Pecoraro (Robert) of Battlefield, MO and Jason Honea (Jennifer) of Warsaw, MO.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Poplar Babtist Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
