He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Rott and Agnes; his brothers, Glenn "Bull" Rott and Ricky Rott; and his brother-in-law Bill Struttmann.
He is survived by: his children, Leah Otto (Steve) of Washington, MO, Kelly O'Connell (Kevin) of Labadie, MO, Kari Hassan of Boston, MA and Anthony Rott (Brittany) of Washington, MO; his siblings, Shirley Struttmann of Washington, MO, Freddie Rott (Charlene) of Kokomo, IN and Frankie Rott of Washington, MO; his grandchildren, Kadin, Kaya, Kallie, Mahaliah, Kloey, Norah, Neunie, Serean, Hanif, Charley, Eleanor and Maizie; and his friend Brenda Trentmann. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (1206 Jefferson St, Washington, MO 63090). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Borgia Church (115 Cedar St, Washington, MO 63090).
Memorial donations will be given to the Washington Historical Society and the American Legion Post 218 Baseball team in his honor.
