He is survived by: his wife Barb Alfermann; his children, Dena Schmitt (Alan) of Washington, Jodi Alfermann of St. Louis, Denny Alfermann Jr. of Washington and Brian Alfermann (Jessica) of Newton, MA; his grandchildren, Adam Schmitt (Amber), Zachary Schmitt (Abigail McNew), Clara Alfermann, Nora Alfermann, Hanna Alfermann and Hugo Alfermann; his great grandchildren, Kynleigh Schmitt and Leighton Schmitt; his sister Kathy Eikermann (Don) of McKinney, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Alfermann of Washington and Gus Garbs of Washington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Francis Borgia Church (115 Cedar St, Washington, MO 63090). A reception will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Borgia Cemetery Fund or St. Francis Borgia High School.
