He is survived by: his wife Barbara Alfermann; his children, Dena Schmitt (Alan) of Washington, Jodi Alfermann of St. Louis, Denny Alfermann Jr. of Washington and Brian Alfermann (Jessica) of Newton, MA; his grandchildren, Adam Schmitt (Amber), Zachary Schmitt (Abigail McNew), Clara Alfermann, Nora Alfermann, Hanna Alfermann and Hugo Alfermann; his great grandchildren, Kynleigh Schmitt and Leighton Schmitt; his sister Kathy Eikermann (Don) of McKinney, TX; his siblings-in-law, Barb Alfermann of Washington and Gus Garbs of Washington; his in-laws, Elmer and Edith; and his sister-in-law Marline Boland (John). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Borgia Cemetery Fund or to St. Francis Borgia High School.
