He is survived by: his wife Laura Schmelzer of Washington; his children, John Schmelzer of Little Rock, AR, Susanna Herbert (Keith) of Washington, Alexander Shola of Washington State and Vanessa Shola of Washington, MO; and his grandchildren, Winston and Calloway. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (214 W 5th St, Washington, MO 63090).
