He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa Unnerstall (Chapek); his parents, Henry Unnerstall and Clara Unnerstall (Eckelkamp); and his siblings, Elmer, Marvin, Harold Unnerstall and Rita Loethen (Unnerstall).
He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Unnerstall (Allison) and Alan Unnerstall (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Anna, Hank, Nick and Sam. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Red Cross or St. Francis Borgia Regional High School.
