He was predeceased by : his parents, Alphons Luechtefeld and Clara; his brothers, Robert Beuke, Lawrence Beuke and Philip Luechtefeld; and his parents-in-law, Linda and Elmer Scheible.

He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Luechtefeld of Washington; his daughters, Gayle Luechtefeld of Washington, Amy Hellmann (Darren) of Washington and Kim Luechtefeld of Washington; his siblings, Lillian Danz of Washington, Marian Enke (Jim) of Cuba and Charlie Luechtefeld (Dianne) of New Haven; his grandchildren, Chloe McCarthy, Austin Hellmann, Ashlyn Hellmann and Leo Koti; and his brothers, Dale Scheible (Debbie) of Washington and David Scheible (Kay) of Washington. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
