Carl B. Robertson wrote a sympathy message

“Leo J. Stark Jr was born Tran Ahn Dung in the Republic of South Viet Nam probably somewhere near Da Nang,, true date and location unknown. He was being cared for at the Catholic Sacred Heart Orphanage of Da Nang overseen by Sister Mary Angela. As far as she knew, all his family was killed by military action and he was very nearly killed by a left hemisphere cranial injury leaving a half dollar hole in his skull. Leo stayed with me numerous times on post and endured many rocked and mortar attacks together during that time. I facilitated the adoption process for my mother and step father, Louise and Leo Stark Sr. and escorted Leo and another unrelated war injured boy back to the United States. Both are now dead, and the door to a long and difficult road has now ended leaving Leo's 2 sons to honor his life. Posted by Carl B. Robertson”
