With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leona Wellenkamp of Washington, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Leona left this world on March 27, 2026 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Schaefer and Ida; her husband Ed Wellenkamp of Vincent's Parish; her siblings, Martha Michel, Hilda Hennecke, Andrew Schaefer and Tony Schaefer; and her daughter-in-law Linda Wellenkamp.

She is survived by: her children, Beverly Miller of Carson City, NV, Wanda Randolph (Norm) of Fenton, Jerry Wellenkamp of Norman, OK and Jim Wellenkamp of Krakow; and her grandchildren, Jeremy, Jenerra, Eddie, Michelle, Shari and Nicole. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
