He was predeceased by: his parents, William Taylor and Lola Pearl Taylor; his former wife Mary Ann Taylor; his brother Fred Taylor; his stepson Paul Gerner; and his grandparents, Charles Frederick Weston and India Ann Weston.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Taylor; his children, Dave (Phyllis Taylor) of Nashville, TN and Debbie (Berney Esser) of Mount Vernon, IL; his grandchildren, Lori (Josh Willeford), Rachel (Michael Morton), Amanda Taylor, Joshua (Hillary Esser) and Jason (Jori Esser); his great grandchildren, Weston Willeford, Taylor Willeford, Lincoln Willeford, Madeline Esser, Lillian Esser, Blair Esser and Benjamin Esser; his stepson John (Heather Gerner); his stepgrandchildren, Adam (April Gerner), Michael Gerner and Jacqueline Gerner; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Noah Gerner, Marren Gerner and Kira Gerner. He is also survived by family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pregnancy Assistance Center.
