He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Norman V, Irene Ellis, Earl and Mary Jones; his stepparents, Christine Ellis and William Schneider; his father-in-law Leo Barnes; his brother Cleo Ellis; and his stepsiblings, Jerry Schneider and Laynette Schneider.
He is survived by: his mother Roberta Lucille Ellis (Jones); his children, Jeremy Ellis (Vickey), Jennifer Meek (Shawn), Joanna Stretch (Jeff) and Justin Ellis (Brandi); his grandchildren, Katrisha, Echo, Lincoln, Emma, Kolby, Kaleb, Kasey, Kyler, Elisa, Kelsa, Colt and Lane; his wife Beth Ann Barnes; his father Lloyd Ellis; his mother-in-law Glenda Barnes; his siblings, Shirley Catlett (Rick), Ted Ellis (Gala) and Roger Ellis (Donna); his stepsiblings, Dirk Protzman (Pam), Eric Protzman (Jennifer) and Desa Rand (Luis); and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Barnes (Alicia) and Daniel Barnes (Chrissy). He is also survived by 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; 20 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
