With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cheryl VanWey (Webb City, Missouri), born in Bloomfield, Nebraska, who passed away on June 7, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross George and Dorthea George; and her sister Helen George Moore (John Moore). She is survived by: her husband Clyde VanWey; her sons, Craig VanWey (Jill) of Pittsburg, KS and Chris VanWey (Brittany) of Webb City, MO; her grandchildren, Megan VanWey Brown (Josh Brown) of Kansas City, KS, Logan VanWey of Houston, TX, Kaylee VanWey McMullen (Drake) of El Reno, OK and Alyssa VanWey (Jordan Clark) of Manhattan, KS; and her sisters, Kathy George Moore (Alan) of Rosalia, KS, Janet George Oswald of Leon, KS and Vicki George Penwell (Jim Penwell) of Leon, KS..
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Cheryl's name be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
