We announce the death of Donna Meadows of Webb City, Missouri, born in Pittsburg, Kansas, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 74. Donna will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Donna will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Donna will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Donna’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Meadows and Jackie Meadows; her husband Mike Girdner; her stepfather Bill Merritt; her brother Marty Meadows; and her daughter-in-law Angela Yow.
She is survived by: her daughter Melissa West (Byron). She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home (301 W Broadway St, Webb City, MO 64870). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation be made in Donna's name to the Joplin Humane Society.
