He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Holden and Josephine Holden (Jeans); his siblings, William "Billy" Holden and Bessie Gregory; and his son Douglas Eugene Holden.
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Endicott (Norman) of Joplin; his sisters, Betty McDaniel of Adkins, TX and Letha Smith of Joplin, MO; and his grandchildren, Vance Endicott, Laura Endicott and Garrett Endicott. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Gene has requested donations be made to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home.
