He is survived by: his wife Melissa Smith; his children, Kimberly Carnes, Kevin of Joplin, Anthony Smith of Joplin, Megan James, Nick of Joplin, Michael Smith and Wendy of Galena; and his siblings, Jimmy Smith Jr., Sharon of Liberal, Douglas Smith, Randi of Jasper, Mark Smith, Amy of Liberal, Kathy Miller, Keith of Joplin, David Smith, Lynn of Liberal, Brian Smith and Sabra of Liberal. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
