She was predeceased by: her husband Robert "Bob" Cook; her son Robert "Rob" Cook; her stepdaughter Rita Shupp; her grandson Steven Haver; her great grandchild Dalton Candeleria; and her friends, JoAnn and Bonnie.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Cook Allen of Webb City; her daughter-in-law Marla of Lampe; her grandchildren, Justin Cook (Liea) of Lampe, Julie Wendt of Alba, Christi Hoagland of Webb City, Chuck Shupp (Sandy) of Alba, Craig Hoagland of Carl Junction and Stefanie Simpson (Hal) of Webb City; her great grandchildren, Chad Erwin, Ashley Edens (Bain), Austin Simpson (Amanda), Bethany Hoagland, Adam Simpson (Taylar Morrow), Weston Wendt and Maci Cook; and her great great grandchildren, Jack and Wylder Simpson.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (400 W Daugherty St, Webb City, MO 64870). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Joplin Humane Society in Joy's memory, in care of the funeral home.
