He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Faye and Ella Carrie Parkison (VanGundy); his wife Arla Parkison; and his brothers, Donald Wayne Parkison, Richard Parkison and Arthur "Huck" Parkison.
He is survived by: his son Don Parkison (Karen) of Springfield, Missouri; his grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla and Chelsea Parkison; his great grandchildren, Cadence Thomson, Oliver Thomson and Lucy Gomez; and his sister Linda Dent of Mattoon.
In lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to either the First Christian Church or Solace House of the Ozarks c/o the funeral home.
