He is survived by: his wife Sonja Knigge of Louisville, Kentucky; his children, William Frederick Knigge of Charlestown, IN, Ronald Scott Knigge of Charlestown, IN and Sharron Elizabeth Johns (Scott) of Charlestown, IN; his stepson Glenn Grooms (Barbie) of Louisville, KY; his grandchildren, William, Michael, Madeline, Grace, Drew Knigge, Ally Jo and Abby Johns; his niece Hanna Knigge; and his nephew Jacob Knigge.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethel Church. A masonic service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
