He was predeceased by: his parents, Syl Mathis and Ollie Mathis (Shirley) of Arizona; his son Terry W. Mathis; and his siblings, Jackie Mathis and Betty Sue Silver (Bill).
He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Butler (Rick); his nephews, Eric, Todd and Christopher Silver; and his close friend Pam Anderson.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pitman Funeral Home (1545 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville, MO 63385). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at the Eternal Peace Cemetery East Pitman (1015 E Pitman Ave, Wentzville, MO 63385).
