He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Harris; his daughters, Pamela Chandler and Patricia Saunders; his parents, Harry Hughes and Ruth Hughes; and his brother Roy Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Harold Harris (Susanne) of St. Petersburg, FL, George Harris (Joel Troxell) of Wentzville, MO, Orville Harris (Sharla) of Crossville, TN, Jeannette Belanger (Kenneth Robertson) of Sardis, TN, Christine Huffman (Dustin) of St. Charles, MO and Robert Forbes (Heidi) of Troy, MO; his son-in-law Thomas Saunders of Appleton, WI; and his sisters, Connie Gosnell (Dave), Carol Rader (Larry) and Chris Hughes (Mike Eichenlaub). He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Pitman Funeral Home (1545 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville, MO 63385). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at the Elsberry City Cemetery.
