He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval "Dude" Rightnowar and Idabell Rightnowar (Hodge) of Illinois. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Andrew Rightnowar (Julie Ann (Cox)) and Bradley Alan Rightnowar; his aunts, Selma Walters (Hodge) and Eleanor Hodge; his grandchildren, Gracie Rhea Harlow (Jackson Harlow), Michael Andrew "Drew" Rightnowar, Seth Lynn Rightnowar, Chancey Quinn Rightnowar, Shelby Brooke Rightnowar, Evan Lambert Rightnowar, Emma Elizabeth Rightnowar, Ella Marie Rightnowar and Eden Grace Rightnowar; his wife Anna Rightnowar of Tipton, Indiana.; and his sister Frances Atkinson (Joe). He is also survived by grandchildren; and countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home West Chapel (601 S 42nd St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home - West Chapel (601 S 42nd St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Angels on Assignment, a mission of First United Methodist Church of Mt. Vernon, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
