He was predeceased by: his mother Monette Sartin Herring; and his brother Jimmy Herring. He is survived by: his father James V. Herring; his wife Jocelyn Herring of West Plains; his son Mark Herring (Kayla); his grandchildren, Kaleb Herring of West Plains and Olivia Herring-Curl of West Plains; his siblings, Janice Odom (Johnny) of Brandon, Mississippi, Cheryl Ashmore of Hernando, Mississippi, Carol Cheek of Carrollton, Mississippi and Frank Herring (Mona) of Webb, Mississippi.; his siblings' children, Sandra Hale, Annette Odom Shute, Scarlett Miller, April Davidson, Danielle Long and Frank Herring; and his close friends, Carl Mixon (Pat) and Joe McDaniel (JoAnn).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude.
