It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Troy Engle of West Plains, Missouri, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Engle and Myrtle Engle (Price); his wife Linda Engle (Hightower); his siblings, Lloyd, Lee Engle and Freda Pierson; his brothers-in-law, Drexel Pierson and Vaughn Pierson; and his nephew David Pierson.
He is survived by: his daughter Beth Hames (Lance) of Melbourne; his grandchildren, Cameron Hames (Taryn) of Melbourne and Carlie Qualls (Caleb) of Cave City; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Hames, Hudson Hames, Cooper Qualls and Clark Qualls; his sister Beth Pierson of Mountain Home; his siblings-in-law, Leta Engle of Cave City and Butch Hightower; and his nieces, Kim Engle of Sidney, Maleta Manuel (Danny) of Cave City, Karen Walton (Lee) of Bethesda, Patty Pierson of Cabot and Delandra Cuce (Jason) of Centerton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cave City First Assembly of God (437 N Main St, Cave City, AR 72521). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
