He was predeceased by: his parents, Faye Hamilton Watson and Herbert Watson; his wife Kay; his brother Carl; his sister-in-law Janet; his in-laws, Jesse, Opal Erwin, Harold and Zula Johnson; and his brothers, Loren (Dianna Johnson), Angel Baby and Jackie.

He is survived by: his daughter Sonya (Jack Jones); his grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell (Brent), Deneall Goines (Greg), Christie Baker (Jimmy), Joshua Jones (Ali) and Tristian Watson (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Ava of West Plains, MO., Jacy of West Plains, MO., Liam of West Plains, MO., Hope Campbell of West Plains, MO., Benjamin of West Plains, MO., Elijah of West Plains, MO., Amy Baker of West Plains, MO., Silas of West Plains, MO., McCoy of West Plains, MO. and Jett Jones of West Plains, MO.; and his brother Eddie Watson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
