In the vast expanse of eternity, Louella shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Louella farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Blankenship Simpson and Lewis Simpson; and her husband Ralph Cox. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Jo (Jody) and Verrengia (Tom) of Miami, Florida.; her brother Nelson Simpson of Alton; her cousin Gary Simpson of Alton; her brother Johnny; and her sister-in-law Barbara Cox of Thayer. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home (1316 Porter Wagoner Blvd, West Plains, MO 65775).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ralph and Lou Cox Nursing Scholarship at MSU, 128 Garfield Avenue, West Plains, MO.
